About Hunter Glass

Hunter Glass was established in 2014 and is run by husband and wife team Grant and Malin.

Grant has 30 years experience in the glass industry with 12 of those as a fully qualified glazier. He loves being on the tools and enjoys all aspects of working with glass.

“I started working with glass when I was 17 years old. My first job was on the assembly line, making aluminium windows and working as a glass cutter. From there I went to a different company - making double glazed units. In 2005 I completed my adult apprenticeship to become a fully qualified glazier. Then in June 2014, after years of deliberating, I decided it was time to go out on my own… I’ve loved every minute!”

Malin has worked in various administrative roles over the last 25 years. Transitioning and using those skills to co-ordinate Hunter Glass was a natural process for her.

“Every day is different and we have the privilege of working with great clients and business people. Being self employed is amazing, having the freedom to create your own systems and grow the business is incredibly rewarding."

The Team

Our awesome team member & fully qualified glazier Phil joined Hunter Glass at the end of January 2022.

He is born and and raised in Canterbury and has worked for a number of glass companies over the years, where has accumulated over 20+ years of experience.

For the last ten years Phil has been working in Australia as a project manager, he decided to come back, to fulfil his fiancees dream of starting up an equestrian business.

Phil brings with him a ton of experience and

great ideas from his years in Australia and is

really dedicated to his craft.

When not at work you may find him on the

race track or helping out at home with the horses.

Hunter Glass is an experienced, locally-owned and operated glazing company based in Sheffield, Selwyn.

We provide expert glass work, installation and repairs in Christchurch, Waimakariri and most parts of Canterbury. This includes (but not limited to) Rolleston, West Melton, Oxford, Kirwee, Springfield and Darfield.
