Can a pet door be fitted into my existing glass door or window?
In some cases, yes. Pet doors can be installed into existing annealed glass. However, toughened safety glass and double-glazed units cannot be cut after manufacture, so a replacement panel with the correct opening must be ordered.
Do you supply the pet door or do I need to buy one?
We supply and install. We use quality pet door brands that are designed specifically for glass installation.
How do I know what size pet door to get?
Measure:
- Your pet’s shoulder height
- Your pet’s width across the shoulders
- Your pet’s weight
We can recommend the correct pet door size based on these measurements.
How long does installation take?
For pet doors being installed into annealed (non-toughened) glass, installation can often be completed in around one hour.
For pet doors being installed into toughened safety glass or double glazing, the process typically involves two site visits: one to measure for new glass and confirm the pet door location, and a second visit to install the glass and petdoor. The replacement glass typically takes around one week to manufacture, and the time spent on site will vary depending on the size and complexity of the job.
